"High Value Man" or "Free Agent Lifestyle": Which Option Is Best For Men?

The term “High Value Man” has circled the Manosphere/ seduction communities for several years, however, this topic EXPLODED in popularity very recently, as it was discovered by the huge numbers of women that are flooding into online men’s spaces.

You can witness this phenomenon here on Solitary Beast.

This blog is proudly dedicated to helping improve the lives of men, yet most commenters and readers are women.

They are here searching for answers.

Sixty years of feminism have left Western women lonely and desperate.

In the US, women are:

  • drowning in debt from student loans, and reckless spending,

  • glamorizing alcoholism with “wine" mom culture,

  • whoring themselves out on OnlyFans, SeekingArrangements, and sugar baby websites,

  • coping with anti-depressant drugs,

  • struggling to raise fatherless children alone,

  • and most of all: Hopelessly Single.

In a panic, they rush to the internet, frantically trying to figure out how to secure the husband all women really want.

“Low Value Men” Are Winning

I already wrote about that “High Value Man”, at least to the extent that women have co-opted it, is a con-game. See my post The High Value Man Is A Simp.

“High Value Male” is a repackaging of beta male, simp behaviors, that we already know don’t even work.

In reality, women fuck “Low Value” men all the time.

The most attractive women seem to prefer the so-called “low value” bad boys (drug dealers, players, etc), especially when they are young and sexy.

How many women have told you about an “asshole” ex-boyfriend, claiming he hit her, cheated on her with her best friend, stole from her, and worse?

Then you find out she stayed with him for YEARS, gave him money, bought him expensive gifts, even had a baby for him!

Women calling a man “High Value” is like a salesman calling a beat up, used car “pre-owned”.

It’s not a compliment.

Women, usually pushing 30, or older, want a “HVM” for a bailout.

Her credit cards are ran up, Lil’ Tyrone is driving her crazy.

She needs a provider and “good role model” to bail her out for her bad decisions.

“High Value”, Or Free?

Does that sound appealing to you?

Of course not.

Why should you “step up” and be a simp stepfather, a walking wallet for a demanding “independent” woman and some other man’s kids?

Youtube content creator Coach Greg Adams wrote a book titled, Free Agent Lifestyle, which offers an attractive alternative for men who want to travel, live free, and experience a life of more than being a “provider” for women.

Much more than a book of pickup lines on how to get laid, “Free Agent Lifestyle” offers a new philosophy, a huge mindset shift for men.

A “free agent” a man is in control of his own life. He is the sole master of his resources, his money, and his time.

Coach’s book encourages men to be independent in all aspects: free from being controlled by women, his own desires, even the constraints of a corporate job.

The Free Agent Lifestyle is a revolutionary concept for men, who are taught that life as a “High Value” provider/ workhorse is the only honorable option.

“[Men] need to get real about relationships and marriage… stop hoping for the best and start doing the best for themselves.

Hope is not a strategy.”

-Coach Greg Adams

The Biggest Thing You Can Give A Woman

I loved this book.

At only 101 pages, concise, but don’t be fooled. Coach was able to land it short and sweet. The dynamic advice packs a powerful punch, like a swift left jab that can knock a fighter down.

Free Agent Lifestyle is full of actionable advice that can completely change the way a man looks at the world, and himself.

The biggest paradigm shift is reminding men of the priceless value of their commitment. I explored this concept in my post “Anything That Can Be Bought Is Cheap”.

From the book:

“The biggest thing you can give to a woman is your commitment.

…She now has all the power in your relationship, because she has the ability to say yes or no to decisions you could have easily made on your own.”

Adams drops plenty of gems like this.

I highlighted the text heavily, in both the Kindle, and physical print version. I bought the Kindle version for convenience, and the physical copy to put on my bookshelf.

Actionable Advice

“If you want to make something out of your life, avoid marriage and long term commitment”.

-Coach Greg Adams

However, the wisdom offered in Free Agent Lifestyle goes beyond dating and relationships.

The book is thorough and thoughtful, expanding on all aspects of a man’s life: career, finances, travel, investing, health, even speaking on the way people limit themselves with racial identity.

The Manosphere is full of people repeating the same advice over and over about avoiding entanglements with women. Coach is one of the few men offering real knowledge about what men should do next.

Adams’ advice on these topics are where I received the greatest value.

“Free Agent Lifestyle also talks about work, recreation, health, making the right economic decisions for your personal self,.. and the importance of self-care.”

The central theme is “Don’t limit yourself”.

Required Reading

I encourage every man, especially every Solitary Beast, to get this book, and consume it immediately. It’s a quick, potent read that you can digest in a few days. I keep going back to it over and over, highlighting in a different color each time. Each time I read it, I get a new insight to implement in my life.

Anyone who has ever watched a good movie a second time can attest to this. You notice something different each time.

This is a technique I learned from Corey Wayne. He and many other wise men say that you must read a book 10- 15 times to really internalize the information.

The best thing I can do here is let the book speak for itself.
